How Our Expectations Fail Us

by Robin Sacks

March 3, 2020

When someone doesn't do something we thought they were going to do, we feel disappointed. We think they are the reason for our feeling that way, when in reality, it is our expectations that let us down.

While it is honorable to believe that most people have the character, integrity, and desire to move forward, be accountable, and take appropriate action (that we think they should take), here's a newsflash for you - they're not always going to make you proud!

That should never stop you from being the best that YOU can be!

Make a commitment to show-up every day in your life and have integrity, do what you say you are going to do, teach when you can teach, learn when you can learn and be personally accountable for yourself.

THAT is how you influence (and change) those around you...not by having expectations of them.
