Are You a Problem Maker or a Problem Solver?

(Hint…you can only be one at any given time) ;)

· Problem Solver,Take Action,Stress Management,Choices Matter

Ask yourself this question several times a day…anytime there is stress or worry bubbling up. What you will find is that YOU are sometimes creating the problem.

(Hears sound of needle being pulled across a record.)

What, what, WHAT?!?!?!?!?

You might think it is everyone else, but you will be wrong much of the time…and that is a GREAT thing to know! Why? Because that puts YOU in control.

As any good student of personal development knows, life is NOT about what is happening, but rather how you are CHOOSING to respond to what is happening. That is where your power lies.

In that moment of choice, you are in total control! That is some powerful s*!t to realize. Your response can determine what happens next. Your response can determine whether you continue to stress and worry about the situation. Your response can determine whether something continues or whether is simply gets taken care of so you can move on to the next thing in your day.

The operative words there are YOUR RESPONSE CAN DETERMINE.

Epiphany! :)

Today, as you move through your life, keep asking yourself, “Am I a problem maker or a problem solver right now?” If you are contributing to (or creating) the problem (sometimes just in your own mind), do something about it! If you are helping to be a problem solver, give yourself a pat on the back and keep spreading those awesome vibes.

The difference is sometimes as simple as this: if you are thinking about or talking about doing something, you may be a problem maker (because you are going to think about and talk about all of the things that might go wrong. Don’t believe me? Pay attention to your thoughts ;) ). If you are doing something about it, you are most likely a problem solver.

“If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.” -Vincent Van Gogh

Today…be a problem solver by doing.
